At the end of the school year, I included a few extra points in the directions of their final. All they had to do was draw a cat somewhere on their test.

A message from the artist
Scene: Being the grown adult that I am, I made Alex take me Pokémon hunting. Scratch that. Not hunting, raiding. My attempt at catching them all was extinguished by a huge-ass Snorlax and some pretty awful red team trainers, but whatever... I'm not bitter.
On the way home, I did want any sane person would do. I rapped* about it.
Me (after pretending I can rap): "Ya know, I've actually been pretty funny this week! Minus the rapping part."
Alex: "Yeah, for like a second. It's almost like you needed to get away from your students so you can be an adult again."
*By rap I mean speaking as if I was a Kesha cheerleader hybrid.
I don't know who wrote this. I'm not sure if this student is reading this. But if you are, thank you for caring and for taking the time to write this. I wish you knew how much I needed this.
Or maybe you did know.
